Abbreviations

The Library works cited in OMNIKA use lots of abbreviations in the footnotes. It is therefore necessary to list them in order that they may be referenced quickly and easily. In many cases, abbreviations of works will be an acronym of the work's title. For example, the book Mythology of All Races, Volume II may be abbreviated as MOAR 2. Lots of effort went into ensuring OMNIKA's abbreviations match that of scholars in various fields. Notwithstanding, OMNIKA's Mythology index treats all the world's mythological stories; as a result, some abbreviations depart from conventions used by other scholars, websites, and publications. These data may be compared by the additional list of links provided for other abbreviation catalogues.
